The Caribbean Beaches

All over the islands of the Caribbean, there are so many things to do such as hiking through some of it's parks, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming and fishing in it's beautiful blue-green ocean waters. Maybe your idea of the perfect Caribbean vacation is to lounge back with an ice cold tropical beverage in one hand and a kindle in the other. Hey, I'm not mad at 'cha. Maybe you want to be at a secluded location with your loved one besides you, immersing yourselves in the beauty of the sea that surrounds you 360 degrees or you want to take some time to cruise the sugar plantations that make that rum you've been drinking since you arrived. Whatever your choices are for visiting the Caribbean, the beaches play an important role in you're mental recuperation and rejuvenation.

The purpose of this page and the ones that will follow is to introduce you to some of the most spectacular beaches in the Caribbean. You will discover beaches with sands as colorful and diverse as the Islanders themselves. You will also see icons that will assist you in anything you need to prepare yourself for the vacation of a lifetime. The Caribbean is made up of many islands so it will be up to you to decide how you want to spend your time on these beautiful beaches. Please take your time in planning your trip, although there are last minute trips that are just as satisfying if you need to get away quickly.

Yeah Mon, the beaches of the Caribbean are good. The sea air is fragrant in a way that seems to make you exhale all those toxins that have been building up mentally and physically. Mr. Sun will have you singing that 60's hit "Here Comes The Sun" from the time you get up until darkness quietly spreads itself upon you. As you swim in the crystal clear waters of the ocean, you will feel as if you connect with the sea life  in a way that's of a kindred spirit connection.  You will sleep peacefully and literally fall in love with nature in a way that you had forgotten all about. You will return back to your home feeling refreshed and relaxed, trying to cling on to that feeling as long as possible. The beaches of the Caribbean will have played the biggest role in reaching those goals. Please feel free to come back to view the pictures here as a stress reliever especially if you get those Winter Blues. Use them for a goal setter if need be...Just keep your eyes on the prize, A visit to the Caribbean can cost as little as $50 A Night.

Antigua

The claim to fame here is the legend that there is a beach here for every day of the year. One can't help but notice the Antiguans stick their chest out with pride as they point to 2 of their best beaches, Dickenson Bay which is in the northwest corner of the island and Half Moon Bay where it's white sands stretches for a mile along the eastern coastal shore. Many of their hotels open up to the beach so your feet will most likely be very close to the sand there.

Shoal Bay, Anguilla

Anguilla

As you visit the luscious stretch of silver sand on the beach of Shoal Bay, you will see why this is a world destination for snorkelers.  Anguilla is a world tourism destination as you can literally swim with all kinds of iridescent fish that work and play among the coral cities here. You may also take the walk along the trail from Old Ta to the least known Katouche Beach which has some of the most picturesque snorkeling in the Caribbean. It's also great to just kick back under the trees and enjoy a freshly prepared picnic and then take a nap so you can be refreshed for a little night fun.

Palm Beach, Aruba

Aruba

Palm Beach has a superb white sand beach that can't be missed. It has been mentioned many times in highly circulated travel magazines as one of the top beaches in the world. It's mostly crowded in the Winter, but it is the idea place to be if you want to do some sailing, swimming or fishing or that great American pastime, people watching.

Gold Coast, Barbados

Barbados

With a name like the Gold Coast you should expect there to be some golden beaches here. You will not be disappointed as here lies are some of the finest beaches in the Caribbean. They even sometimes call this the Platinum Coast, so the quality and splendor just seem to increase. Some of the hippest deluxe hotels in the world share this real estate. Some of our favorite beaches are accessible to the public such as, Paradise Beach, Brandon's Beach, Paynes Bay and Brighton Beach. There is a lot of flavor here for all to enjoy.

Cane Garden Bay, Tortola

British Virgin Islands (Tortola)

Joggers love to run along the white sandy stretch of beach known as Cane Garden Bay. It is about 1.5 miles long and is a much better choice than the more crowded Magens Beach on the neighboring island of St. Thomas.

Seven Mile Beach, Grand Caymen

Cayman Islands, Grand Cayman

Seven Mile Beach which is only about 5.5 miles long, but do you really care? With a background of Australian pines, and lined with condos and some plushly looking resorts, there are a variety of water sports to be discovered here so you will never have a dull moment, even when you sleep. It's waters have been described as translucent aquamarine and the water temperature is a cozy 80 degrees.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic has 2 wonderful beach options to share with it's visitors. One is the resort laden Punta Cana, which is located on the easternmost tip of the island and the other is Playa Dorada, which is along the northern coast. Playa Dorada fronts the Atlantic Ocean. Punta Cana has a backdrop of palm trees with oyster colored sand that spans for over 18 miles. Playa Dorada has beige and white sanded beaches.

Grand Anse Beach, Granada

Granada

The Grand Anse Beach is well worth a trip to Granada. There are some 45 beaches on the island and many are within walking distance of the hotels, but the Grand Anse is one where memories are turned into fables. There are so few visitors and just enough space for you and yours to chill out as if the space were reserved for you at times. The sands are white and sugary and extend into the deep waters that are far offshore of the Grand Anse.

Negril, Jamaica

You'll find Seven Mile Beach in the northwestern of the island and it's sands stretches for about 6 3/4 miles. Here you find some of the most hedonistic resorts in the Caribbean. If you are conservative, forget about it. Unless you're an undercover freak like some conservatives are. This is "Grown Folks" territory, so be ready to let it all hang out and watch what you wish for here.
